All the Directors and staff of Ambient Events Limited are experienced communications and event management practitioners used to operating, and thriving in a multi-functional environment.

In addition, each has specific line responsibility for a particular aspect of the business.

Robin M Dilley MCIM (Chartered Marketer)

Robin DilleyRobin Dilley is Managing Director of Ambient Events Limited and maintains full responsibility for all creative output. An experienced communications practitioner with 50 years of practical marketing experience,  He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (with Chartered Marketer status).

After an early career in advertising, he became Sales Promotion Manager with CWS Ltd., in the Menswear Division, before joining Wrangler Jeans in 1975, first as Head of Advertising and then Marketing Manager. 

Along the way, communications campaigns developed under his guidance not only achieved corporate objectives but also international acclaim with awards for advertising at festivals in London, New York and Cannes, as well as major British awards for Advertising, Sales Promotion and In Store Display.

In 1991 he left Wrangler to set up his own integrated marketing consultancy, Robin Dilley Associates, integrating its activities into Ambient Events Limited in October 2004. 

Leon LeBlanc  MSc in IT, MBCS, Prince2

Leon LeBlancLeon LeBlanc is an experienced Web developer and IT project/programme manager.  He is Technical Director of Ambient Events Limited and controls the production services and support functions.

Prior to working in the IT industry, Leon was engaged in engineering roles such as large-scale data acquisition projects, and industrial computer control.  After leaving the Mars Group after over ten years to start his own business, Leon became controlling director of Clarion Call New Media. Clarion pioneered groundbreaking projects in the use of Web technology, several of which were adopted by blue-chip companies and high profile organisations such as Psion DACOM, BskyB, National Trust, Heart of England Tourist Board, and various local authorities throughout the East Midlands.

Leon joined Ambient after working as E-Commerce Solutions Manager at Interflora, and later as the Programme Manager for Yahoo Local Search and Maps.

Leon has a master's degree in Information Technology,  and holds professional project management qualifications, being Prince2 accredited to practitioner level.  He is a Member of the British Computer Society.

Marc Robin Dilley

Marc Dilley is an experienced hotel and catering professional with over 20 years in the industry.

After gaining work experience in hotels whilst at college, he spent seven years in the themed restaurant environment working his way up from barman and waiter to a licensee and management role. 

Marc joined the Alton Towers Hotel and spent 9 years with the Group working in food and beverage management roles within the hotel, and in  the theme park.He then joined the management opening team responsible for the development and launch of the Splash Landings Hotel and Conference Centre at the Park.  

An impressive work portfolio also includes contract catering and large scale banqueting experience. Marc joined Ambient as a Director in October 2004.

His knowledge of hotel and conference operations has proved invaluable to the company and he provides specialised consultancy support in this area.

Rebekah Jane Dilley BA(Hons)

Rebekah Dilley joined the Ambient Board of Directors in October 2005. After leaving school, she travelled extensively and for over seven years, she lived and worked in Europe. During this period, she produced local community events in five countries.

On returning to England, she became a Trustee and Secretary of the Brighton Unemployed Centre Family Project and taught English to students from overseas.

In 2002, she enrolled at the prestigious Sussex University graduating in 2005 with a BA (Hons) in Media Practice and Theory.

Whilst pursuing her full time University course, Rebekah worked part time for a Brighton based, Event Management Company becoming Operations Manager on her graduation. In this role she has been involved in the day to day running of a busy office and the organising, planning and coordination of major events around the South East of England.

Rebekah provides specialised consultancy support to Ambient utilising her experience in emergency planning, risk management, staffing and event implantation.

Ann Herdman

Ann Herdman is the Manager of the Ambient Tours Division of Ambient Events Limited.

Over the past 10 years she has been involved with a number of special interest member groups and had become aware that an opportunity existed to provide tailored made or bespoke packages to make the life of Group Organisers much easier.

Ann became a member of the planning team at Ambient Tours in 2007 and has worked with Robin Dilley to build up a portfolio of special interest destinations, hotels, heritage & cultural venues. She is also in regular contact with tourism offices, tour operators and professional guides in the UK and in Belgium, Ireland, Malta, Portugal and Spain.

She is the prime contact for enquiries involving packaged or bespoke cultural and heritage tours for Groups or individual travellers.
