Alliance between Ambient and Miltours aims to help UK event buyers make the most of Portugal as a MICE destination.
Portugal is one of the fastest growing meetings, conferences and incentives destinations in Europe. Now, thanks to an alliance between Ambient Events Limited and Miltours, one of Portugal's leading destination management companies, UK events buyers can now tap into one of the most comprehensive event planning support and delivery services available.
The Miltours parent company was established in 1980 during which time a network of offices have been created throughout Portugal with three on the Algarve and others in Lisbon, Oporto, Funchal (Madeira) and Ponta Delgada (Azores). With its own fleet of deluxe air-conditioned coaches, minibuses and four-wheeled drive jeeps, Miltours offers a total package that includes special interest tours accompanied by professional bi-lingual guides. The Incentive & Conferences division offers a specialised service to the demanding corporate market.
Speaking about the alliance, Robin Dilley commented:-
"We believe that Portugal has so much to offer the UK meetings, incentives and conference buyer. In order to be able to offer a comprehensive events package, it was important to forge an alliance with an organisation with the ability to deliver the excellence of service support required, right across Portugal. Miltours have ticked all the boxes and we are confident that their experience on the ground, and our knowledge of the needs of the UK events buyers, will create a formidable partnership with a product offering that is second to none."
Ambient will work closely with Miltours to help increase their share of the meetings, conference, and incentive and exhibition market in Portugal that is booked by UK based companies. This will include joint direct marketing opportunities through their comprehensive databases.
