Malta - the ideal location

Ideally situated in the middle of the Mediterranean, Malta is halfway between Mainland Europe and North Africa and yet only just over 3 hours flying time from all the major UK airports.

Malta enjoys an all year round temperate climate and you never have to travel far on the island from the main towns to discover low hills with terraced fields, harbours, bays, creeks, coves and beaches.  The idyllic tranquillity of this calm, peaceful place in the sun is the ideal setting for anyone wishing to unwind or revitalise themselves.

A long cultural heritage

For over 7000 years the islands have proved a magnet for a host of visitors and famous figures including the likes of St.Paul. The culture has been shaped by a succession of conquerors who each, in turn, have left their mark.  The islands historical heritage is marked by Neolithic temples and crowned by the magnificent architectural legacy of the Knights of the Order of St. John.

Set up in 1968, SMS pioneered the conference market on the island. Over the years, they have successfully managed numerous events from small incentive groups to conferences with over 1000 delegates.

As part of the agreement, Ambient act exclusively on behalf of SMS in the UK market to provide a complete planning and project management package for organisations considering Malta as a possible event destination. SMS manage and coordinate all agreed arrangements in Malta, in conjunction with Ambient project managers.
