Although Ambient Events Limited was incorporated in October 2005, we did not start trading until 1 February 2005. Thanks to support from our friends within the business community, our feet have barely touched the ground and we have planned, coordinated and delivered 16 major events during the year. In addition, we have established an excellent database of venues in the UK that meet our criteria of providing first class accommodation and food, excellent service and support and superb attention to detail. All of which ensures that every event we manage for our customers is really special. Our aim has been to create strategic alliances with DMC’s in the countries where we offer a full MICE service. This strategy has resulted in a close working relationship with SMS in Malta. Managing Director, Robin Dilley is currently in talks with DMC’s in Ireland, Portugal and Spain and hopes to announce further alliances early in 2006.

Highlights of the Year

In a year full of highlights it has been difficult to pick out a few for special mention. For different reasons, the following have provided memorable milestones in our development.

Wednesday 16 February 2005
The Magic of Marketing Conference
Pera Innovation Park, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.

This event was fully managed by the Ambient team on behalf of The Marketing Group, a Nottinghamshire based, business for business networking organisation. Project Manager Justine Cooper brought together top practitioners in marketing planning, advertising, public relations, sales promotion and e-business. Keynote presentations were given by Drayton Bird, Chairman, The Drayton Bird Partnership, Charlotte Beele, Manager of Marketing, IBM Systems and Technology Group and Mike Fynney, Creative Director, Sellers & Rogers. The whole event was chaired by Ambient Managing Director, Robin Dilley
